Kimberley Wilson is a BPS Chartered and HCPC registered Psychologist, with a master’s degree in nutrition. She is the author of the NHS-endorsed How to Build a Healthy Brain (2020) and Unprocessed (2023). A former Governor of the Tavistock & Portman NHS Mental Health Trust, Kimberley led the therapy service at HMP & YOI Holloway, which at the time was Europe’s largest women’s prison. She is a director of the brain nutrition research charity, Think Through Nutrition (the Institute for Food, Brain and Behaviour) and has a private practice in central London.
Her philosophy of Whole Body Mental Health is a comprehensive approach to mental health care; integrating evidence-based nutrition and lifestyle factors with psychological therapy with an emphasis on nutrition and the brain.
Kimberley is a visiting lecturer, teaching at London Met, Newcastle, UCL, and on the Harvard University Culinary Psychology extension course.
She co-hosted the BBC Radio 4 health science show Made of Stronger Stuff, has written for numerous publications including New Scientist, and has been the featured mental health expert on several Channel 4 series and documentaries.
